In addition to any defects listed above these also Sadly they grade low as they have bends tears water damage writing on the front or other defects. Most of the comics I sell are used and 50+ years old or more. The ones from the 1970s or earlier will oftentimes have a small percentage that are a bit dirty dingy Dusty or musty mainly because people used to store them in basements and it was before they kept them in plastic(I try to remove the worst ones but given the age I can’t catch them all with large lots same goes for coupon cutouts and missing pages) I would call them around a 2.0 gd to 4.0 vg and below out of 10 condition. Any with specific defects listed by their issue numbers may/will ussually grade lower. See pics and judge for yourself before purchasing as grading is subjective. The grading is only our opinion and we are not responsible if you choose to have it professionally graded after it leaves our possession or interpret the grading scale differently. We conform to the Overstreet grading guide standards as they have been the gold standard for more than 50 years in the comics industry and are the basis for professional grading standards across the industry as a result they tend to be more strict and accurate then most “professional” grading companies. Check our hand typed notes on each item in the description section where we list defects and grade for each individual comic for accurate grading information.

The comic book offered here is from a newly found, original owner collection comprising of 500 golden age books, mostly from the early 1950s. None have been put on sale before, or restored in any way. Since the are untouched original owner books, they have not been manipulated in any way. That means no cleaning, no pressing, no restoration, no erasing etc. Since they have never been on sale before, the covers have not been up on store walls or convention racks, and have therefor not been exposed to damaging ultraviolet light, and they often display surprisingly vivid colors as a result. Many of the covers are marked with the letter H, or another letter, and often have a hand-written or stamped date stamp. When a mark or stamp is present, it is noted. We’ve started a new category, just for these books. Many of these books are rarely offered. Shown is the actual comic book for sale. It is an original, first printing, with no pages missing, cut-outs or restoration. Staples are secure on the cover and center wrap unless otherwise noted.
