Smokey gives an exploding cigar to a friend and it makes the round until it comes back to him. Fiddling Finnegan practices his awful fiddling at Smokey’s firehouse. Smokey’s son is supposed to practice the violin, but rigs it up with a clock’s pendulum. Smokey decides to go to Texas for a vacation because it’s all downhill on the map. Cookie bakes the Chief a birthday cake, but the only “candle” Smokey can find turns out to be a firecracker.
