DELL FOUR COLOR #7 (SMOKEY STOVER #1) Dell, 1942. Original 1st printing comic book. Four Color Series 2, #7. Scarce, Smokey Stover #1 by Bill Holman. Rarely offered for sale anywhere in any grade. Very nice mid-grade copy with good eye appeal. ALL SERIOUS OFFERS CONSIDERED. Condition: FN- 5.5 range (approximation). Chipped off bottom right corner of front cover. Some spine-wear/stresses, surface and edge-wear, light vertical crease that doesn’t break color along right side edge of front cover. Other various surface wear. Nice OW pages, bright clean interior. No cut-outs or writing. Cover and all pages attached at staples. Pencil date written lower center front cover. Clean staples, no restoration that I can see. Very nice solid copy. Very nice mid-grade copy. ALL SERIOUS OFFERS CONSIDERED. Condition: VG/FN 5.0 range (approximation). Newsstand fresh white pages (in my opinion). Defects include staple pull and tearing at top staple area (see photos), small tear bottom spine corner of cover, various spine-wear, surface wear including horizontal crease right side edge front cover, small tear lower right side edge of front cover. Beautiful bright clean interior. No cut-outs or writing. Cover and all pages attached at staples, but the cover is torn and pulled at top staple. Clean staples, no restoration that I can see. UNCLE SCROOGE #1 (1952) FOUR COLOR #386 VG-F cond (5.0) Carl Barks NICE GLOSS

WALT DISNEY’S UNCLE SCROOGE #1 (Dell 1952). FOUR COLOR #386 “Only a Poor Man” by Carl Barks. This is a nice mid-grade copy of this magazine with rich color and impressive original gloss. The spine is smooth and the staples are firm, showing no signs of pulling or tearing. There is a long vertical fold impression near the spine that barely breaks color and is therefore difficult to see in the pictures. At the top left edge there is a rubber stamp impression and just below that there is a name written in blue ink. At the top right corner there is a small chunk out at the tip. Just above Donald’s head there is a small line apparently written in pencil. At the bottom right corner there are two creases and a chunk out at the tip. The interior covers both show some browning along the edges. On the back cover there is a tiny chunk out at the upper left hand corner tip. At the right edge margin there is a small ink stain. The interior pages look off-white to light cream. The gloss on this book is better than any other mid-grade copy of this book I’ve seen. But for the chunks out at the corners, it would grade far higher. I have lots of Golden, Silver and Bronze age comic books for sale. Please check out my other items. Track Page Views With.
