A STAT is essentially a photocopy glued on to one or more of the panels by the artist done during production of the piece and is not original artwork. Maverick #1, Four Color #892, 1958 Dell photo cover comic. This book should be sent in for grading. I give it a 9.2…. But really it ranges between 9.0 and 9.4 depending on the grader. There is one defect that is invisible to the scan and can only be noticed upon close inspection. The bottom right corner of the front cover had a very slight diagonal bend or fold…. But it does NOT leave a crease and it is not obvious. It is more like an impression than a bend. That corner still lays flat to the book, not offset or protruding up. The edges, corners, and spine are otherwise awesome on this book. No stressing to speak of and certainly no crease, tears, markings, or pieces out. File copy like cover gloss and sheen…… Covers are on tight and interior is tight and together. All is attached well. Pages are creamy, off-white. If you are a Maverick collector… Got to have this beauty in your collection. The free listing tool. Many hard to find, key issues & runs of titles from Charlton, Classic Illustrated, DC, DELL, Gold Key, Marvel, Independent/Underground publishers, variant/certified signed editions & CGC graded books. All genres, Super Hero, Horror, Western, Romance, War, Disney, Archie, Casper & so much more! The books range in condition from 0.5 POOR to “HIGH GRADE” NEAR MINT. I have been brought on board to organize this massive collection. I grade very conservatively using the 10 Point Grading Scale per The Overstreet Price Guide. Because of time constraints and trying to list as many books possible. A majority of the time general letter grades will be given to the book/s that they fall under and or range between. There will also be times when a more specific numerical grade is provided along with corresponding letter/word grades. In The Overstreet price guide section there are 6 grading categories/scales for which they price books. GD (2.0), VG (4.0), FN (6.0), VF (8.0), VF/NM (9.0) & NM- (9.2). So for example if a book is listed as or described as VG/FN, in my estimation the book ranges in VG (4.0) condition to FN (6.0) condition.
