This sale is for the. Four Color #375: John Carter Of Mars (Dell; Feb 1952). This origin issue features an adaptation of Edgar Rice Burroughs’ 1912 serialized novel (with art by Jesse Marsh). It’s the earliest of the three John Carter Four Color issues — the other two being FC #437 (Nov 1952) and FC #488 (1953). All meat, no potatoes (32 story pages, zero ad pages). This copy has a CGC Universal Grade of. Fine Plus (6.5 FN+). And supple off-white to white pages. This is a very nice looking 6.5 (I actually expected it to be certified as a CGC 7.0 ow-wh). It carries CGC Serial No. The case is in excellent “as-manufactured” condition with no scratches or cracks. The encapsulated book you see above is the book you’ll receive.
