The book is flat and cover attached at both staples, brilliant color, nice interior paper quality with cream pages. The book is very solid in hand, 100% complete with all pages and coupons fully intact, no writing or other types of foreign markings, no tape repair. This book has outstanding eye appeal and presents much nicer than the grade given. If you are a Carl Barks duck fan, then this is a must have book for your collection! Four Color, Issue #34. Published by DELL January 1944. CGC 4.5 very good plus. Cream to Off-White pages. This is a mid-1940s Dick Tracy issue from the Four Color series. Cover art features a stunning closeup profile rendering of the iconic Dick Tracy, created by Chester Gould. Back cover features more Dick Tracy comic panels, no ads. Chester Gould was the creator of Dick Tracy. He wrote and drew the Dick Tracy comic strip which ran in newspapers from 1931 to 1977. A nice clean-looking book, it shows better than its grade would suggest. Recently graded by the CGC and archived in the newest, heavier case with the modern label. This book has been archived by CGC in a sealed hard plastic case to exclude oxygen and moisture. DELL FOUR COLOR #7 (SMOKEY STOVER #1) Dell, 1942. Original 1st printing comic book. Four Color Series 2, #7. Scarce, Smokey Stover #1 by Bill Holman. Rarely offered for sale anywhere in any grade. Very nice mid-grade copy with good eye appeal. ALL SERIOUS OFFERS CONSIDERED. Condition: FN- 5.5 range (approximation). Chipped off bottom right corner of front cover. Some spine-wear/stresses, surface and edge-wear, light vertical crease that doesn’t break color along right side edge of front cover. Other various surface wear. Nice OW pages, bright clean interior. No cut-outs or writing. Cover and all pages attached at staples. Pencil date written lower center front cover. Clean staples, no restoration that I can see. Very nice solid copy.
