Allowed defects for this grade include: spine roll, a moderate amount of staining or water damage, writing or other marks on the cover, up to one inch spine splits or other tears, a cover or centerfold that is detached at one staple, discoloration due to oxidation, and a minor piece or pieces missing. An item could be assigned this grade due to either an accumulation of minor/moderate defects or one or two major defects. Indicia title: Smilin’ Jack. Untitled Smilin’ Jack stories. Smilin’ Jack infiltrates The Ring disguised as Powder. The Head finds out Jack is Powder; Jack escapes. Jack’s plane crashes and he ends up on an island; It happens to be the island in which Powder is engaged to the Chief’s daughter. Smilin’ Jack is still being mistaken as someone named Powder, and he is forced to marry Boona Goo. Limehouse puts Jack and Fat Stuff in jail and to work in the sulphur mine. Smilin’ Jack, Fat Stuff, The Head and The Claw escape from jail, but are eventually caught. Smilin’ Jack escapes from prison again, and it looks like he may be rescued. Downwind rescues Jack from the island and brings him back to civilization. Scripts and art by Zack Mosley. 68 pages, full color. This item is a consignment. Downwind Decides to Get Married; After seeing how happy Jack and Joy are after their marriage, Downwind Jackson decides he should get married, too. The Baby Bullet; Joy buys a midget racing plane and intends to set a non-stop record from New York to Rio de Janiero. Caught in a Tropical Storm; Over Jack’s objections, Joy takes off on her non-stop flight to Rio de Janiero.
