This is a coverless but otherwise complete copy of the Donald Duck Four Color Comics #4 from Series 1, one of the big keys in Disney comics. It’s rare in any grade, with just 29 CGC copies of any kind on the census and a highest grade of 8.0. It’s in surprisingly good condition for a coverless book. The centerfold might be the worst, and it’s not too bad: the holes in the bottom border (like you see in newspapers) are in many pages, there’s a tear on the border that just barely goes into the art, and you can see some soft folds. The pages are supple, the staples are firmly attached, and I don’t see any sign of potential spine splitting. For someone like me who isn’t ready to spend into the thousands for a copy, this is about as good a copy as it gets. However, I just picked up another GA key that’s higher on my list (All-Star Comics 33) so I decided I should let this go. One thing to note is it’s a 7 3/4 wide book and the backing board barely covers it. I’d plan on getting a larger bag and board if you’re not going to slab it.
